We will be holding our annual Community Breifing on Saturday 21st September as part of the RFS Get Ready Weekend.
This gives members of the community a chance to meet with the Brigade and understand better what we are doing to help protect us all.
There will be one briefing session which will start promptly at 11.00 a.m.
It will also cover:
- The 2024/2025 bushfire outlook
- Our fire history on the Heights
- The National Park
- An overview of the Brigade
- Your fire plan
- If there is a fire, do you stay or do you go?
- Preparing your place
- Staying informed
- Details of our Planned Hazard Reductions

Since the Brigade was informed we have not lost a house on the Heights. This can only continue where the Community is well prepared, well informed and remains vigilant.
